DCC Members and Friends,

In light of the snowstorm that dropped 4-12″ last night in the greater Seattle area, and the lasting impacts that will carry into tomorrow, we are canceling both gatherings tomorrow, Sunday, 2/10. 

This was not an easy decision for us as elders (thus, the lateness of this update) as we highly value the preached Word, corporate singing, gathered prayer, and the Lord’s Supper, however:

1) The Governor declared a State of Emergency.

2) The Seattle Mayor recommends not driving.

3) Both of the parking lots next to our building are unusable.

4) Streets and sidewalks around our building are largely unplowed and many unshoveled.

5) Everything is going to freeze tonight, leaving a significant safety risk for walkers and drivers. 

Therefore, out of an abundance of caution, we believe it is wisest to cancel our gatherings tomorrow. Lord willing, we will resume normal gathering times next week, on February 17th.
