“And he went up on the mountain and called to him those whom he desired, and they came to him… ‘Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.'” Mark 3:13; Matt 11:28-29

Ladies, we invite you to join us for our 2019 Women’s Retreat, which will take place on Friday, May 17th and Saturday, May 18th. This will be a relational, interactive weekend with singing, mingling, discussion, and times of learning, reflection, and prayer. The theme for our weekend together is “Rest in God: Calm my Soul, Quiet my Heart, Commission my Life.” How can we rest in God’s truth as it relates to our friendships, to our parenting, to our work? How do we lean into trusting God as our good Father? What does it look like to be sent out in freedom under God’s good promises?

You can find more information about the weekend’s schedule here.

On Saturday morning and afternoon there will be two sessions, where you will be given the choice between three workshops. These will be taught by DCC members with topics ranging from understanding the fear of God to the glory of God in nature. Be praying for our ladies as they prepare!

Suncadia is located in a beautiful area, giving our ladies many opportunities for outdoor activities! We’ll have a few hours of free time on Saturday afternoon with weather-dependent options for tennis, golf, swimming, and trail-walking (all free to participate). If you’d rather stay indoors, grab a cup of coffee and read or play board games in one of the hangout spaces.

In addition to normal items and toiletries, please be sure to pack your Bible, journal, and pen.

Please note Cornerstone Kids will not be provided. As we’d love for this time to be a retreat for the ladies, we encourage husbands, family, or friends to help care for children during this time.

We’re anticipating some questions about the Women’s Retreat and wanted to share this FAQ sheet for those of you who have already registered and others who are still considering the opportunity. Our hope is to help address common questions and alleviate any uncertainties or barriers you might have about joining for the weekend.
