Men’s Pizza Night
Event | by Pastor Justin Keogh
Men of DCC,
This Friday, October 27th, will be our first Men’s Pizza Night of the year, as an opportunity to grow in our faith together. We’ll be discussing Men as Theologians, as we consider how our knowledge of God – and our relationship with Him – impacts every aspect of our lives.
WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT THIS EVENT?
Pastor Adam will lead the main session, and there will be a testimony, table discussion, and pastoral Q&A – all aimed at helping us connect our theology with our daily lives. This simple evening is meant to strengthen your faith and deepen your relationship with other brothers in DCC – you won’t regret spending this time together!
I’VE ATTENDED OTHER EVENTS BEFORE, WHY ATTEND THIS EVENT?
Chances are, you’ve probably already had pizza once in your life too… but that hasn’t stopped you from ever eating pizza again! Just like our physical bodies need food daily, so our souls need encouragement from the Scriptures and fellowship with other believers. Your participation will be a blessing to you and to your brothers in DCC. The Apostle Paul reminds us: “Train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.” (1 Tim. 4:7-8)
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Men of DCC! Whether you’ve been a Christian for decades or for days, there will be something to stir your mind and faith. Whether you’re brand new to DCC, or have been around for 10 years – they’ll be good opportunities to connect and deepen your relationships.
WILL CORNERSTONE KIDS BE PROVIDED?
Unfortunately, no. While we understand that this can be a sacrifice for your family, we encourage you to consider this time as an investment in your spiritual health, which will undoubtedly pay dividends in your spiritual leadership and service to your family.
