, Media, New Year Essentials 2026, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

New Year Essentials 2026

As part of our New Year Essentials, we revisit truths vital for God’s glory and our renewal. Today we survey the Old Testament and ask: this year, will our lives be shaped by the world’s story or by God’s redemptive story?

What Is The Bible About?

, Media, New Year Essentials 2025, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

New Year Essentials 2025

We are returning to an annual sermon series we refer to as our New Year Essentials. These sermons address subjects to which we must repeatedly return for the glory of God and the transformation of lives. These are different sermons, taking different angles, on issues we need to come back to again-and-again. Today, we do a heart-thrilling flyover of the entire Bible and ask, “This year, what story will most shape me? The story of the world or the story of God?”

Why Is The Bible Unique?

, 2 Peter, Media, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

2 Peter

We continue our series in 2 Peter. This letter was written by the Apostle Peter from a Roman prison as he awaited execution for his faith in Jesus. His dying words are powerful. There is a sense of earnestness and pleading throughout. He exhorts us to grow in grace, to keep Jesus and God’s word at the center of our lives, to be aware of false teaching, and more. This letter reminds us how we start the Christian life matters, but how we end matters most.

How Do You See the Bible?

, Media, New Year Essentials 2022, Romans, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

New Year Essentials 2022
We are beginning a set of annual sermons we refer to as our new year essentials. These sermons address subjects and important themes that we must repeatedly return to for the glory of God and the transformation of our inner and outer lives. These are not, of course, the same sermons. Rather, they are different sermons, taking different angles, on issues we need to come back to again-and-again. We begin our series by considering the significance of the Bible.

The Unsearchable Riches of the Bible

, Media, New Year Essentials 2018, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

New Year Essentials 2018
This morning we’re kicking off a fresh series of standalone sermons that we’re informally calling our ‘new year essentials.’ Today my simple, but profound, goal is to encourage us to read the Bible with an aim to see and savor God’s supreme value, in Jesus. My hope, and that of all the elders, is that we would treasure this book for the treasure it reveals even more deeply this year. The treasures it contains are unsearchable, which makes this book precious beyond value.

Scripture Alone

, Discovering Grace, Media, Reformation Sunday, Sermons | by Pastor Adam Sinnett

Discovering Grace

This month marks the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. In light of that, we are walking through a five-week series called Discovering Grace. This series will be based on the five “Solas” of the Reformation (Sola Scriptura, Solus Christus, Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, and Soli Deo Gloria). Today, in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, we begin with the all-important Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone).
